‘L’ and ‘O’ are the first ever letters sent via the internet. Its scriptor, Charley Kline didn’t even realize what he had just invented. Indeed, he was just trying to “log in” before the system crashed. Nonetheless, what had since followed was one of the most pervasive transformations of all time. Not only is the internet now ubiquitous to everything we do, it fundamentally challenges the way we do things. Particularly the way we share knowledge, build technology, and invent things is fundamentally different now than before its invention.

I am inspired by how we invent and innovate to offer new solutions to unmet needs, especially in the context of digital technology. I am on the search of trying to understand underlying mechanisms at play and assess their impact on organizations and their capabilities. This website and my blog, therefore, will focus on main questions surrounding knowledge creation, technology transfer and resulting challenges to organizations at the firm and sectoral level.

For my research as a PhD student, I study digital technologies and their effect on the organisation for innovation. From that, I outline strategy and organisation implications for several actors involved. I like drawing back to themes of creative destruction and technological discontinuities. For its complexity and social value, the context of medical science and innovation R&D are often my preferred context of study.

Beyond that, I am working with the DrosAfrica Trust for science infrastructure development in Africa. By facilitating and mediating collaborations, we provide science education and materials for research and pressing local needs.

I am excited to share my analysis on the various ideas and hope that you will enjoy browsing through them!

All best & Enjoy!
